SciELO, the Brasilian indexer and publisher of Open Access online journals, announces the new platform SciELO Books (http://books.scielo.org/en).
SciELO Books collects quality peer-reviewed and commercial e-books in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Public Health from selected university presses and other publishers in Brazil.
Currently there are over 300 ebooks available for download
and this number is expected to grow by more than 500 titles per year. The ebooks are being made available in ePub and
PDF formats with the option to download the whole ebook or just individual PDF chapters.
Although books are in portuguese, we want to give visibility to this vast and important project hoping that it can provide an example for all countries.
