Old Maps Online is a gateway to historical maps held by libraries around the world.
The project of digitization is founded by Jisc and includes old maps from British Library, Biblioteca Nacional de Colombia, Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya, Harvard Library, New York Public Library and many other international institutions.
Old Maps Online is a free to use archive created for anybody who is interested in old maps with a very simple search box. It combines the information about digital map images from all the host institutions in a single search
interface.
All the maps are historical. They cover a range of different scales,
dates and include types such as land use, administrative, boundary,
toponymic, political, military, town plans, estate maps and admiralty
sea charts.
